Fantabulous Freebie Friday

Good Morning Everyone!

That is such a rare thing for me to say because 99% of the time I'm a night owl blogger.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday.  I know I've never been to anyone else's Thanksgiving, but I am certain that we had the best food at mine.  We ate ham, fried turkey, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, deviled eggs, butter beans, cornbread, and my favorite - chicken and dumplings.  There was even more food than that, but I left out the things that make me gag!

One of my favorite parts of yesterday was discovering there is a S'more maker.  Did any of you know that there is actually a S'more maker?  I had no idea!  I heard my Mom tell my sister not to forget to take it with her and I jumped and begged to borrow it until January.  You may not remember, but awhile back I found a "How to" writing packet by The Lesson Plan Diva.  Each item in the packet teaches students to write using the words first, next, then, last.   Well, one of her writing activities is How to Make a S'more.  Now, I cannot wait to use this little toy.  Before I borrowed it, we were going to be running to the nurse's station to make our S'mores.   This may be the best writing activity ever!  If you don't have the packet from The Lesson Plan Diva, you can click HERE to go look at it and get it.  I can honestly say it is one of my favorite TPT purchases and I don't think I could have made it any better if I tried.

If for some reason you are as crazy as me, I looked up the S'more Maker.  I love lessons that are hands on because they seem to stick a little better.  The one in the picture is close to $100, so now I feel even more spoiled.  Here's a link to one that's just as cute, but it's around $30.

Anyway, in a few hours my Mimi, Mom, and my sister are going to come meet me and we are going to shop!  We started this shopping trip 11 years ago and it's always fun.  We mostly shop for each other on this trip and we get a few other gifts knocked out.  I actually meet them a little bit later because honestly, spending 2 hours in Charming Charlies (a color-coded jewelry store) is not my idea of fun.  It's a great store and I love going there for a few minutes here and there, but 2 hours... that's torture for someone that wears the same silver hoop earrings and cross necklace every day.

I got a little work done yesterday on my Christmas printables set.  Honestly, I REALLY want it to be a packet with 30 to 40 sheets that cover the majority of the standards.  Needless to say, today is an exciting day, so I'm already up and ready to go with a freebie from my new packet.  The packet isn't available quite yet, but when it is I will definitely be linking it to my TPT store.  Until then, here are two pictures to give you an idea of what I'm creating.  If you like them, then click HERE to get them.

These are linked up to Freebie Fridays over on the Teaching Blog Addict.  Click below to go check it out.  There are tons of freebies each week and I'm so excited that I managed to join it for the first time today :)

    1. Thank you :) I love doing it in my spare time :) I've always made a lot of my own stuff, but I just started TPT back in March. It was different than anything I had ever done and there has definitely been a lot to learn. The biggest thing I had to figure out is clip art and copyright. If you ever decide to start creating, let me know and I'll try to give you some tips. The biggest thing is being patient and doing a little at a time.

    1. Aw! Thank you :) That means a lot to me :) I just finished my post for your nomination. Outside of finding people with less than 200 followers, the rest of it flew by :) Hope you had a good Thanksgiving, too!

  4. OK, so I was sitting on my parents couch reading this post and I said out loud "I want a Smores maker!" My mom replied, "We have one over in the cabinet." Sure enough, we do! And since our next writing piece is informational, I just might need to do a How To about how to make Smores since I made PB&J last year! :-) Too funny!

Thanks for the freebies! I can't wait to see the rest of your packet!

    1. That is awesome! I read your post to my hubby :) I can't wait to hear out how your writing piece turns out. I'm thinking about doing an informational piece on How to Make Hot Chocolate. It may be a freebie coming soon to a blog near you ;)

Glad you liked the freebies. I should be able to knock the packet out by Saturday afternoon. I hope so anyway, because I have a lot more to knock out... where did our break go?

  5. It would be torture for me too. But the torture wouldn't be quite as bad as when I spend 2 hours in a tool store. Not fun!!!!

Your freebies look great! I'm excited to see what else you come up with.
