Late Night Post

Do you ever feel like you are all over the place?  That's how I'm feeling right now with my blog.  I have so many things going on that it constantly ends up on the back burner.  I have the pictures, the ideas, etc. but even though it is summer there isn't enough time in the day.  As sad as it is, I love that!  I love the fact that I am living every second of my life whether it is the gym, spending time with friends, running errands with my hubby, or sitting in planning meetings for school, church, and mission trips.  I don't think life gets any better than it is right at this moment.

Anyway, I missed getting in my Five for Friday, but I'm going to go for it now.  I am certain that my friends over at Doodle Bugs will be okay with that.

1. My Dad
Tomorrow is Father's Day.  I hate to tell you guys, but I got the best Dad when I got mine.  He rarely lost his temper and up until I got married was probably the only person who could calm me down if I was upset.  He always encourages me and completely believes that I can accomplish anything I try.  Don't tell my friends or other family members, but he's also my favorite person to talk to about TPT and he is still the person I call when I need advice on anything from school to my bank account.  He is the least judgmental person.  I like to think I got my Mom's organizational skill and focus, but I got my Dad's thoughtfulness and peacemaking skills.  I also got his love for snacking ;)  I'm not sure why, but this is my favorite picture of my Dad and me.  It's probably thirty years old, but I've just always liked it.

2. Bath and Body Works
I have a love/hate relationship with Bath and Body Works.  I love their products, but I hate going in there.  I have a five minute window to grab and get out or I get hit with a migraine every time.  Yesterday, I got 17 items for $31.  Almost all of their stuff was on sale.  As you can tell from the picture, I love the smell of coconut and fruity smells.  What's funny is I hate the taste of coconut, but if I close my eyes when I use coconut lotion, I immediately feel like I'm at the beach.  I think I smelled that smell so often as a child that the smell of coconut never fails to take me to my safe place.

3. Freebie
I promised a freebie.  I'm a little late, but I finished another set of papers.  The only way you can get them is to click on the Facebook logo to the right or to click on the picture I posted here (which also takes you to Facebook).  I also changed my Terms of Use.  Sorry that I made it a little complex the other day.  I have no plans to get in the clip art business anytime soon.  Anyway, someone emailed and asked me to clarify.  That threw me, so I went back and read them and oops!  I completely forgot to tell you that you can use them to create freebies, products, etc. for TPT, TN, or any other place similar to one of these.

4. Crocs
I love my Crocs!  I swear I wear them year around.  I know they may not be dressy, but I am not a shoe girl.  Gasp!  That's a tragedy, huh?  I find a pair of shoes I like and I wear them until the bottoms fall off which is why you are seeing my new Crocs.  My old ones are still wearable, but they definitely needed to be changed out, so I grabbed them yesterday.

5. Dre Beats
Okay, I know it is a little pathetic, but I have been dying for these headphones for almost two years.  I finally broke down and got a pair today.  Oh, and I got the wireless ones.  This way I will be able to walk around and get stuff done while I listen.  I don't have to be attached to my iPad.  I'm hoping they pay off at the gym too (although I'm not sure I want fat headphones on when I'm at the gym). They are incredible!  They block ALL noise and I am not kidding, I focus so much better.  Plus, they come with a case and all sorts of cords (in case you don't want them to be wireless)

Alright!  Time to go work on my Tech Tuesday post.  I'm pretty excited about it!  I'm working on making song lists and learning how to use Spotify.  I know... sad that I know about Dre Beats and I'm just learning to use Spotify.  I will do my best to blog on Monday, too :)

  1. Love your FIVE! Dad's are truly the best thing around, and while I think MY dad is the best (hee hee), yours sounds pretty darn amazing! It's great to be a Daddy's Girl :)

And now I have to go to Bath & Body Works (when it opens) to check out the sale. All things coconut take me to the beach in my mind... ahhh..

  2. I love the colors in your digital papers! Thanks for sharing. My son uses Spotify all the time. I will have to check it out since I have some free time.
