Cooking up Some Freebies

Last night I was going to post and then I remembered that I had already posted for yesterday.  Yes, it was around 2 a.m. in the morning, but a post is a post, right?  Anyway, I procrastinated, it was time for bed, and I thought you guys would be okay waiting until today.
Now, before I give you my freebies, I have to tell you something I discovered last night.  I was cooking my dinner.  Yes!  I actually said I cooked.  I didn't go out to eat.  Okay.  Pick your mouth up off the floor and let's keep going :)  I have found these Bertolli meals that you just throw in a pan and voila, it's instant food that tastes like you actually worked.  My favorite one is the chicken with spinach and bow tie pasta.  It is incredible!  What makes it more incredible is although it says two servings it is always a serving for one since my hubby won't touch noodles.  My waistline probably doesn't approve of that, but my taste buds definitely do.

So, it said non-stick pan and I noticed, but I had one clean pan because the other one wasn't big enough and the one I like the most was dirty.  So, I went with it.  Little did I know that the word non-stick is actually a pretty important one.  My food tasted great, but the hubby asked me what was burning.  I had to explain that although I had a plate full of this amazingly, delicious pasta that a fourth of it was stuck to the pan thanks to it not being non-stick.  So, now maybe you guys know why I don't cook often.  I'm a good cook, but it always ends up messier than it should.  I can paint and not get a drop on me, but when I cook I manage to make a mess every time.  Now we just need to pray that my hubby takes the time to clean the pan out and doesn't just chunk it which he's done several times when I've made a mess.

The other quick thing I wanted to tell you is if you are one of my regular visitors and are always leaving me feedback, thank you :)  I love reading the comments and even though I know you may not see them, I try to comment back :)  They always make me smile and remind me that as goofy as I think I am that there is someone that likes my quirkiness.  Those comments go a long way on days that I'm running and I'm more of the mean cat than the funny first grade teacher.

Alright, so here are my newest freebies :)  I decided to make three different addition freebies for today.  Tomorrow, I hope to have two more that will cover first grade skills, but be a little bit harder for your higher level kids.  Click on the pictures to go grab them.

Enjoy your day!  It's raining here, so I am certain there is a warm breakfast and nap somewhere in my forecast.

    1. No problem! I like trying to hit different skills since my kids are at different levels. Plus, usually that helps out at least one other grade level :)

    1. We are starting it in the next week or two, so I thought I'd go ahead and create a few pages.
