Fantabulous Five for Friday

This might just be the best Five for Friday post ever!  I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her Five for Friday.  Click on the picture below to check out other blogs.

#1 Blog
I have held off blogging the last few days because my friend Christi Fultz got on a roll hooking up my blog.  There was no way I was going to do anything to get in her way.  It is incredible!  This is what I pictured back at Christmas, but I wanted to make sure I took baby steps.  I feel like the last year has been the biggest adventure of my life!  I'd pick a favorite part, but every part is a favorite.  You guys will probably be sick of me blogging by Monday because it is just... Fantabulous!!!!

There are a few new little features and things to notice.  First of all, I officially have buttons for everything you can imagine :)  If you have a Twitter account, you can now follow me there.  I also now have a Facebook Fan page :)  Next up, Instagram!

Next, if you look in the bottom right corner, you will see a little arrow.  If you are ever at the bottom of the page and you want to rocket back to the top, click on that button, and off you will go!

Also, I have MUCH smaller, cute Pinterest buttons on all of my pictures and take a look at my signature.  Kind of cool to see my real signature on my page :)  That was a special request and as always, Christi delivered.

Last of all, I have several new pages at the top.  Right now, there isn't anything on them, but it's coming probably by Monday in the next few weeks.  I can't wait to start knocking out my three new pages.

If you want to meet my blog designer, her button is at the bottom of my blog.  I have to say, she truly is incredible and I am so thankful that I picked her to do the designs.  My favorite part is she gives you several questionnaires, a date that she will be working on your blog, and is open to anything you want.

#2 Adoption
I'm sure you are thinking this is about me, but sorry Mom, still not ready for kids.  However, I have a friend who LOVES kids.   Her hubby and her have two little guys and want to adopt from China.  She's started a blog telling you about their adoption adventure and they are officially selling shirts to raise money.  Adopting from overseas can be costly, so every little bit helps.  Here is a picture of the shirts.  If you like it, click on it and it will take you to her blog.  To order a shirt you pay through Paypal and then you need to put in the special instructions the shirt you want, size, and your information.  I ordered the teal shirt yesterday.

#3 Teacher Appreciation Week
Sorry guys, but hate to tell you, my PTO is better than yours.  If your PTO did half of what mine did, I am certain that you guys had a great week.  What I love most about our parents is they don't just give us gift cards or food, but they personalize everything with a bit of Southern charm.  All of our gifts have cute little notes with scalloped borders, our initials, pretty ribbons, and some how are still practical.  Below are pictures of three of our gifts.  My first gift was eaten before I got a picture :)  They did little bags of different types of mint candies for us.  Yesterday, our gift was a luncheon complete with sweet tea and homemade banana pudding.  Oh, and breakfast was Panera cinnamon crunch bagels.  They had my heart at the word Panera!

#4 Rug
My rug for my craft room came in on Monday.  It looks perfect in here.  Now for a couch, a small t.v. (for the hubby), and my wall art stuff and my room will be complete!

#5 DONUTS
These need zero explanation!!!!  Should be a good weekend of creating with these close by.

I'll be back tomorrow hopefully with a new packet and a freebie.
Hope you have a Fantabulous night!

  2. I wish my PTA was half as good as your PTO is. We didn't get anything for Teacher Appreciation Week. Not even a thank you note from our Principal. Though she did finally come over the announcements this afternoon and stress that "we really do appreciate you." We're supposed to have a luncheon next Tuesday, because they "forgot" about Teacher Appreciation Week. Except that they never remember this week, and we never get a single damn thing, not even a thank you. One year, some of the teachers brought roses for every single teacher on the staff, and I brought in some mini cheesecakes for everybody because we felt unappreciated. Pathetic. But one of my students brought me a candy bar and a $5 gift card to Subway, though. :-) It was sweet. I was super excited!

I love your new blog design! I need to work on making myself some cute blog buttons.

Oh, I totally joined Instagram this week after declaring I wouldn't. Oops. :-)
