Game and Favorite Pins Friday

Alright, I'm definitely posting twice today (or today and tomorrow).  I have gotten SO much done the last few days.  That's what I will share with you in the second post.  I finally (Yep, FINALLY) finished updating and creating all of my new Teacher Binder and Organization Packets.  I also have a new freebie, and a new packet.  Speaking of which, I forgot to do our little "What's in the Bag?" game.  I haven't left the house since Sunday (scary I know!), so all of my shopping this week has been on the Internet.  Friends, that might be worse than three trips to Target in a week.  I think I ordered from at least ten different places.  So, since I don't have a bag of stuff, here's what we are going to do.  I'm going to tell you one of the stores. You each get one guess at one thing I ordered.  If you guess right, you win my newest packet.  Same rules as last week - one guess, one item, and this week the game will end at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. I'll post the winner or winners tomorrow.

Now for the name of the store.  The store is Really Good Stuff.  There is a link, so you can go look and see if you can guess.  Oh, and just so you know, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.  I just really like shopping there.

Now, for another fun idea straight from one of my favorite blogs.  Five for Friday is on a break until August, so Cara Carroll (She's a pretty fantabulous first grade teacher) is hosting a Favorite Pins Friday!  For the month of July, I will be posting some of my favorite pins for the week.  To go check out some others, click on the image below.  To go read more about each of my favorites, click on the titles.  I linked them to the original posts.

Handbook Flip Book:
I'm not sure how I'm going to make this happen, but I love this idea!  It is simply adorable and I think it may be easier for parents to read.  I may still send home a packet, but put this in their folders so parent will be able to have a quick reference.

One Smart Cookie:
I love this idea!  I do apples for my parents, so this would be cute for the kids in my classroom.  It would also be a cute little snack for testing week.

Homemade Icees:
Hello!  Yum!  If this works, I will be making one of these tomorrow!  That is all.

Imagine Chair:
I am madly in love with these crazy chairs.  I'm not sure what it is about them, but I love them!  I will definitely be on the hunt for a few old chairs to paint and decorate.  These would be a great replacement for all of the big blue chairs we use at the computers.  Probably wishful thinking, but surely I could have them done by Christmas the first week of school.

Fruit Salsa:
Okay, I had this at Christmas and it is incredible!  The pin randomly popped up again last week and now I want it (just not with an Icee).  It is one of those things that you could easily eat an entire bowl by yourself without realizing no one else was eating it.  I may need to add this to my weekend list.

eCards:
Reading one of these a day should be a requirement!  They never fail to make me laugh.

Quotable Quotes:
Don't you love reading quotes?  This is one of my favorites and it wraps all the reasons I want to teach into one.

Alright, I will be back later with LOTS of stuff!

  6. I just pinned a really cute "read" chair...but I love those chairs too. I can't imagine ever finishing one, or having it look anywhere near as amazing as the ones I see on Pinterest, but I would like to give it a try.
