Basketball Fun

I have to tell you there is nothing more fun than watching four of your first grade boys play basketball
together on a middle school team.  One of my dearest friends has a son playing that I taught.  She let me know I had to come see him because not only was he playing, but several of my old kids.  I decided to go tonight and I am so thankful I did.  I think sometimes it is so easy to get wrapped up in our own worlds, especially when it comes to creating and teaching, but for two hours I just sat and watched the most intense game.  It was like going back in time to when I played in middle school and high school.  I forgot how I love the adrenaline rush you get from watching a close game.  I forgot the feeling you get during a jump ball or when the ref misses a call.  The game was tied with 58 seconds left.  I told my friend more than once that this is so much better than watching six and seven year old kiddos play.  Yes, I know those games are sweet, but friends, you know as well as I do they just run back and forth and pray that it goes in when they shoot.  So, I am saying all of this to say, make sure you take time to slow down and breathe sometimes.  Don't get so focused that you forget how it feels to just have a little fun because sometimes life is boring, but sometimes it is fun.  Oh, and just so you know my kids won!

Alright, I know, you've been patient.  Since I only had nine friends enter, I decided that I would pick two friends to win.  Thanks for being such loyal followers.  The winning numbers are 4 and 6, so Lindsay and Molly, you two are the winners.  If you will email me at presroom116@gmail.com I will get you your packets.

Now, if you guys are like me (yeah I say that a lot don't I?), then I know you are probably beat.  I still can't seem to fall asleep at a normal hour even though I know I have to get up early.  That means I am tired and I love Pinterest, really I do, but I have zero energy for searching.  So, last night, I spent a little time searching for cool winter and snow hands-on activities on some of my favorite blogs and friends, I hit the jackpot.  Please, I'm begging you, go see what I posted on Primary Chalkboard and leave me some comments.  I love hearing from you and I promise if you leave me a few comments over there I'll answer you :)  You can click on the picture below to check it out.

Hope you guys have a good night!  I have some updated stuff and new packets I'm prepping, so can't wait to share with you soon!
